OKAY. First off, let me say that I had never shot at the capitol building until recently. I don't know why or how I possibly forgot about it, but I had. And I'm so sad to say that. It is absolutely stunning. The marble inside is to die for. The steps outside, the pillars? Totally my aesthetic. 10000%. When Haley chose the capitol for their bridals I was thrilled! The day of their bridals came and the biggest snow storm was on the forecast. We bundled up and decided to meet at temple square to do the first look. Sadly there was so much wind and so much snow that it was hard to keep everything orderly.
We moved into the capitol building which was such a good choice. Manuel and Haley looked AMAZING and seriously so classy up against that marble staircase. It was gorgeous and they looked awesome. Their first look was darling. We shot it at the same time a choir was rehearsing at the opposite staircase. You could say angels literally sang when he saw her.
When I peaked outside, I saw the most perfect fluffy snowflakes drifting down from the heavens. I asked Haley if she would be willing to brave the snow in her dress and she happily agreed. I think it was totally worth it!
As I write this, Haley and Manuel are now married. Their wedding was so much fun. I will definitely write a separate blog post about it. It made me fall in LOVE with detail shots!
